BJJ ADULTS FUNDAMENTALS
Starting any new sport, much less a martial art, can be intimidating. Our fundamentals adult classes allows you to learn the basics in a very controlled, safe, and fun environment. The structured curriculum is designed to effectively introduce all the basic positions, techniques, submissions, and escapes. The classes will prepare you for both self-defense and sport jiu jitsu. It will also improve your fitness, balance, and coordination. The fundamentals program is designed for anyone, male or female, of any body type, fitness level, or age (14 or older).
This class lays the foundation of knowledge upon which everything else will build. One of the biggest shortcomings of many jiu jitsu academies is a lack of such a comprehensive system. As evidenced in our results as the fastest growing team in Australia, the system works, and the fundamentals foundation allows you to reach your maximum potential in the sport.
BJJ KIDS CLASSES
Kids will learn basic jiu-jitsu movements and self-defense along with overall body awareness. This class will emphasize the basic development of the child’s physical, emotional and mental well-being through the integration of physical education, self-defense and general martial arts concepts. The main emphasis of the program will be self-defense and skill-oriented activities improving the child’s listening skills, coordination, motor skills, flexibility and agility while teaching them to become aware of the world around them.
The purpose of this program is to give students a general understanding of Jiu-Jitsu / Self-Defense principles. Students will be exposed to the foundation of jiu-jitsu and the key fundamentals needed to defend themselves in a variety of negative situations (bully, peer confrontation, abduction, etc). Non-violent resolution is encouraged.
An emphasis will be placed on helping students build the attributes beneficial to overall well being: fitness, confidence, discipline, respect, courage, character, focus, teamwork, responsibility and leadership.
Starting Capoeira is a very fun way to get fit, learn about the culture and heaps more. Our adult classes allows you to learn the basics in a very controlled, safe, and fun environment. The structured curriculum is designed to effectively introduce all the basic positions, techniques, acrobatics, and kicks.
Either you are advanced or beginner in Capoeira we can cater for you.
Capoeira helps develop balance, coordination, general fitness, flexibility, sense of rhythm and body awareness. Children benefit from increased confidence and self-esteem. Children develop a sense of identity as an individual, as a member of a nurturing community and as a member of a global society.
